About Us And Our Values

 

Tell Me How started three years ago. It began when Ditch, an  American F-35 pilot, wrote a post about flying that suddenly spread across the Internet.  Ironically, the post  was intended to be a rant against an over reliance on simulators in military flight training, but the words that came out went deeper– they became  a statement of sorts about a  fighter pilot's love of flying, of  the joy of an aircraft in ones hands; of the stresses, the tasking, the sights and sounds that come with being a pilot.  Doug saw the post and joined with Ditch to do something with it. That  post, which went viral, "said something" to military pilots across the nation  and one thing led to another and a few posters were printed, then a few more, until they were making posters in 50+ different airframes and shipping worldwide from a small warehouse in one of their garages.

Independence

We are truly independent and value that independence intensely. We are not paid by any company for our opinions or to feature any art or any aircraft. We do not accept referral commissions or advertising from affiliate sponsor programs. All of this is purposeful.  Our incentives come from making products you like, not harvesting referral fees or outside incomes. Our goal is to be aligned with our readers and customers and the sole measure of that is the success of the products we make.

We are often asked to speak and we occasionally accept those invitations. We charge nothing to speak on behalf of non-profits, military support groups, or universities/schools. We pay our own travel expenses when we attend events sponsored by corporations. 

Unaffiliated With No Endorsements

We make extensive use of imagery distributed by the Defense Visual Information Distributions Service (DVIDS) and appreciate the extraordinary talents of their hundreds if not thousands of photographers.  That said, we wish to make it clear that we are not endorsed by any official government agency, government organization, or in particular, the Department of Defense or any of its individual  branches. 

Accountability

We make every effort to be accurate in our descriptions but if we make a mistake, we will correct it and publicly acknowledge it.

We want our products to get to you in a timely fashion but if they are late or if they arrive broken, we will fix it at our expense. 

We want you to be more than satisfied with our products so if for any reason you are not, we will refund your money, no questions asked.

Values
